A friend of mine said when this happened that it looked like part of me died! I do think a big part of MMA and the UFC died last night. There never will be another Chuck Liddell.

Agreed. He was a tough dude and did a lot for the sport. He could keep fighting, but his style just doesn’t work anymore and I don’t think he will be able to change how he fights…he’s just lost too many in the past three years.
Too many losses and too many shots to the head! I don’t know about his style not working more than he just can’t take a solid shot anymore.

Well I was specifically referring to his headhunting while holding his arms wide open and circling. It has resulted in a few harsh KO’s. Hands up hands up!
It’s funny that Kempo style of his worked for him only. I think it was a combination of his power, speed, and ability to take a shot. Plus he made a living out of defeating grapplers. But he tried to change I will give him that, but just too late in the game.
It’s a shame. This is what happens when you get old. This is an example of why to retire at a fairly young age while you’re near the top.
