It’s been a slow couple of weeks in the MMA world, but a few notable headlines have popped up lately.
It looks like UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will get back to training and begin fighting again later this year. Lesnar appeared on ESPN today with Dana White to discuss his plans to start training after nearly dying of an intestinal disease late last year.
According to Sherdog, Charles “Crazy Horse” Bennett was arrested earlier this week after assaulting a training partner at their gym with a metal rod. Bennett and the other fighter had argued earlier in the day and Bennett was dropped by a punch.
Veteran fighter Wes Sims, who appeared on The Ultimate Fighter 10, is supposedly stepping up to face Bobby Lashley at the Strikeforce: Miami event which will be held on January 30th.
UFC 113 may get a date change if Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Shane Mosley agree to box on May 1st. The UFC event, which is set to headline a rematch between Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua may potentially move to May 8th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.
