Thiago has beaten higher competition then Condit and put up a good fight against Fitch. At this point I would give him a higher rank then Condit. I like Condit, he was great in the WEC but since coming to the UFC he stumbled against Kampenn and only looked average in this win against Ellenberger. I think Condit has a future but at this point I would rank Thiago higher then him. Therefore I believe that a win against Thiago would due more for Swick then against Condit. I also think this is a good fight and I’m excited to see it.

I don’t think Paulo Thiago is a top 10 guy right now either. Explain how a win over Thiago would help?

Condit would be a good fight but he’s not a top 10 guy right now. That fight wouldn’t help Swick get back into contendership as much as a win over Thiego would. If Swick wants a shot at the title he’s going to have to take some tough fights to get there. If he wants a title shot soon he’s going to have to take a fight like this even though it’s having to come in as a late replacement.

Then who would you like Swick to fight? He won’t fight Fitch or Kos that leaves few other top 170s to fight.

100% right Curtis! And it can only be a win for Thiago nothing good can come out of this for Mike, and if he beats him it only makes Josh look bad.
