Aaron Simpson’s New Website
By Yael Grauer on Dec 21, 2009
I normally don’t write about fighter websites, as they are hardly newsworthy, but I have to make an exception for this one. Aaron “A-Train” Simpson (6-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) is probably UFC’s most amicable fighter in addition to being one of the hardest working. A graduate of ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, Aaron Simpson actually knows how to write and his blog posts and updates are always thought-provoking. The site also features video blogs, including one of Simpson (with his assistant coach in the background) taking his kids through a round of pullups, ab work, pushups and even some spontaneous yoga.
Simpson made short work of Ed Herman at UFC 102 this past August, and is scheduled to face Tom Lawlor on January 11th at UFC Fight Night: Maynard vs. Diaz in Fairfax, Virginia. Lawlor’s last f ight (which I got in trouble for calling a fluke win) was a speedy defeat of Simpson’s teammate C.B. Dollaway. (Dollaway went on to beat Jay Silva and will be fighting undefeated Croatian fighter and BJJ purple belt Goran Relijic at UFC 110 in February.)
