Houston Alexander is now supposedly being released by the UFC. Personally I think this is garbage! Yes the fight against Kimbo wasn't great, but there are some points to be made. First did anyone expect Alexander to charge Kimbo? Alexander's last fight were losses to Silva, Irvin, and Schafer, two by KO. The loss to Irvin was an example of what happens when you charge an opponent who is a good striker. Second Kimbo is a heavyweight and therefore even at the catch weight was a heavier weight than he competes at. Finally, Kimbo did not KO him and I think Houston was trying to draw the fight into "deeper waters" to test Kimbo's cardio. Obviously the strategy failed, but I do not think the guy should be cut.

My point was that other companies use German symbols, but Hoelzer Reich uses them exclusively. That raises a red flag I guess. There are actually webpages posting images from other clothing companies that use German or Nazi military imagery (even Tapout has the SS Lightning Bolts) in an effort to defend them. Personally I think most of HR's stuff looks really cheesy and I wouldn't buy it.

@wardog

"Finally as far as “Hoelzer Reich” goes, the images they use are really not that different than those used by other clothing companies people may say. However, looking at their website they are unlike others (i.e. Tapout) who use the same images, because Hoelzer Reich only uses German and Nazi imagery. But I won’t get mad about a company that can either mean “Woods Empire” or “rich lobster” depending on the dialect in German!
Bill"

I haven't seen any other T-shirt company besides HR use phrases like "The Fourth Reich has Begun".

Hell one of their T-Shirts was a straight rip-off from an Aryan Wear T-shirt where HR just replaced the SS bolts on the Aryan Wear shirt with HR's logo. Which wasn't that hard considering the SS bolts fit right inside of HR's logo nicely.

Learning enough to escape Kimbo's ground game seems to be like saying he learned how to crawl. Be different if Kimbo had a ground game. But you are right he seems to be trying. But he still thinks he is going to stand in the middle of the cage and people should come and attack him.

Wardog,
Houston Alexander learn enough to escape Kimbo's top game just like Brenden Schaub knows enough to escape Roy Nelson's top game. I'm not extremely impressed with Kimbo's performance but I'll acknowledge that he's putting some things together during a fight. He did state that he practice checking leg kicks but during fight time (+ adrenaline) that skill went out the window.

The way it was explained to me about 12-6 elbows vs. horizontal elbows is that the tip of the elbow can actually puncture the eye.

As far as Kimbo I was not that impressed, perhaps less so in Houston Alexander's performance. I mean if Alexander had a ground game I would be impressed, or if Kimbo kept him down and pounded him out or submitted him. But what the hell as Houston been doing since he's been gone?

And Liddell vs. Ortiz 3? Yes I want to see Chuck KO Tito again, but then what? If Tito is "back" and Chuck stomps him again then what? Who wants to see him fight after that? And does a win mean that Chuck is "back?" Still want to see it though, and perhaps hear Tito's excuses when Chuck beats him again.

Finally as far as "Hoelzer Reich" goes, the images they use are really not that different than those used by other clothing companies people may say.
Joe Rogan's rant against why those elbows were made illegal prove they shouldn't be illegal at all. That rule should be rescinded by Monday at the latest.

I really want to see who Hamill's next opponent is. They need to have him fight top shelf competition from here on out and if he can't hack it, release him. He's got the tools, but he doesn't have it in him to put them all together and become a superstar. The hand holding has got to stop with him.

Interesting fact:
Jon Jones ground and pound against Hamill lasted more than a minute.

I hate the HR controversy stuff. It isn't even a debate in my opinion. You look at all the designs from their shirts and it's clear the inspiration for those designs come from Neo-Nazi and Racist Skinhead symbols. I mean if there wasn't anything wrong with them then why not explain each individual design and what they meant to HR as a company. Then stand behind them instead of pulling them down.

I won't get all carried away and call the owners crazy names and stuff because I don't know them. However it's clear the creation of the brand HR was inspired by Neo-Nazi and Racist Skinhead symbols so for that I will be voicing my opinion against them to every TV Network or MMA organization that I see fit.
