The 12-6 elbow did open the second (and worse of the two) cut on the bridge of the nose. However, you're right that there's a moment where Hamill appears to be completely unconscious. There was a point during the barrage of blows that Hamill appeared to go out of consciousness, only to be awakened by another blow to the head. The upgraded point-deduction to a DQ is unfortunate but I think Jones should have simply been issued a clear warning. I didn't watch it as many times as you did, but I don't think the 12-6 elbow was the strike that caused the cut. If there was just a warning, then the referee would have realized that Hamill was already finished. The battered face and the dislocated shoulder (probably due to the incredible slam) doesn't stop you from getting up. Josh, you sound angrier than Dana White.
