I'll give Vera maybe one round, but honestly he simply did not pull the trigger enough. Randy's output (strikes and control) was more than Vera's power shots via leg kicks. Note, I'm far from the biggest Randy fan but I'll give him credit for securing the win without an asterisks. I totally agree with wardog. Brandon Vera simply did little to earn a victory. He's definitely talented but maybe he mentally took himself out of a victory. Vera did nothing for most of the fight to get a win. It was really one sided for most of the fight and Randy controlled Vera for most of it. And the truth is that it was Vera's fault! Every time the ref separated them when Randy had Vera against the cage, Vera did not get any distance and try to force Randy to strike with him. Instead he let Couture push him around for what 12 minutes?! You cannot win a fight based on 3 minutes or so of action! Not a pretty win, but Couture has had plenty of those. Bill You are right.
