UFC Signs MacDonald
By Josh Stein on Oct 15, 2009
It’s been recently confirmed that the UFC has picked up a huge prospect in 20 year old King of the Cage lightweight champion Rory MacDonald (9-0 MMA). The Canadian turned pro at the age of 16 and has sent put together an impressive record, finishing all nine of his fights and competed in multiple weightclasses, fighting recently at welterweight.
Whether MacDonald will come back down to lightweight, which he has not had much trouble making (and is a huge fighter). MacDonald is a versatile fighter and has done very well on the small circuit, so it will be good to see him stepping onto the big stage, and if he does compete at lightweight, will be a great addition to the UFC’s most impressive division.
The MMAJunkie report did not confirm a date for MacDonald’s UFC debut.
