Clearly the whole thing is edited for a certain show they want to develop on screen.

This is no different to anything else on mainstream tv.

I think Rampage is a top guy and find it hard to degrade him. He wont be as bad a trainer as the show is making out.

I do see both sides. Rampage is and never has said that he is a coach, but at the same time he is a competitor.

I am sure that it wasn't as bad as it seems, but nothing throughout this point screams great coaching from Jackson.

It boils down to what is better for the show...Personality and hype for a fight, or solid coaching that can truly develop the fighters...

Were the fighters from season 1 that much better at that stage of their careers or were they better coached at an earlier time?

wardog, I can't support Rampage on this one. He can apologize for making a crappy matchup between Jon and Abe, but after watching him leave Demico sitting in the lockerroom and hearing Demico's side of it, he's really demonstrated that he's a bad coach, whether the video has exaggerated that or not.

I kind of believe Rampage in this spot. Rashad has proven to be a bit of a jerk, especially in the cage (who would think Matt Hughes would be right about this!). And we have to remember this season is already done and the editing can be shifted anyway. Plus Rampage never claimed to be a coach and we know why he was brought on was for entertainment. If they wanted "good" coaches you would have guys like Forrest, Tito, or Bisping who had successful tenures as coaches.
