Diego Sanchez Workout
By Josh Stein on Oct 08, 2009
Steve Maxwell is one of the world’s best conditioning coaches, especially when it comes to conditioning for submission grappling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA. Steve has spent a good deal of time lately training in San Diego with Saulo and Xande Ribeiro (who may be preparing for a bout on Sengoku 11, though nothing has been officially announced).
Among the students that train with the Ribeiro’s are some of the world’s top mixed martial artists, including Rani Yahya (15-4 MMA, #8 IWMMAR) and Diego Sanchez (21-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC, #7 IWMMAR).
Below is a video of Diego doing a kettlebell drill. Maxwell is one of the leaders in working with kettlebells, and this exercise looks particularly gruesome.
