Silva vs. Griffin, like poetry in motion
By Brandt DeLorenzo on Sep 03, 2009

This was emailed to me and I thought it was pretty neat. The actual animated gif is after the jump and about 8MB in size.

Great Gif! I would love to see an edit that combines real-time action with slow motion shots, kind of like the opening of the Wolverine film. Frank Mir said something that I was thinking about this fight. It looked like a scripted blockbuster Hollywood film. “It was surreal.” Legendary Sh*t, period.
That inside left hook is deceptively powerful. I have to remind myself that Silva did not enjoy a considerable reach advantage or height advantage.
This is still mindblowing to me now. Great GIF, Brandt.
That’s insane. his head movement is friggen matrix-like.
My only wish is that we could see the strike that drops forrest.
I just rewatched the fight. This is not the same footage from the PPV, where did it come from? ESPN?

I thought Pernell “Sweet Pea” Whitaker was the best at dodging and slipping punches in the inside. His fight against Oscar was classic.
Duh, Vee…it came from UFC.com
Maybe it was a part of a highlight reel or a stream.
You know, they have a lot of cameras around the cage and use the reels for post fight footage. Better angle that the one from the fight.
Neo aint got nothin on Anderson Silva! lol, matrix indeed!
