Denis Kang Offered Fight With Michael Bisping At UFC 105

By Bryan Levick on Aug 21, 2009

kangDenis Kang, who has fought for just about every major organization in his 11 year career has been offered the opportunity to fight British middleweight Michael Bisping at UFC 105.

Fighter’s Only has been able to confirm the offer through credible Canadian Sources.

Kang is 32-11-1 in his career while fighting for Pride, Dream, K-1, Spirit and Pancrase. He is 1-1 in the UFC, losing to Alan Belcher at UFC 93. He bounced back in front of his hometown fans at UFC 97 in Montreal. He was able to earn a unanimous decision over Xavier Foupa-Pokam.

Bisping is coming off a brutal 2nd round knockout loss to Dan Henderson at UFC 100. The two were opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter: Team US vs. Team UK.

Bisping continuously ran his mouth and tried to goad Henderson into losing his temper but it didn’t work.

Henderson did his talking inside the octagon as he took him an extra $100k for the knockout of the night bonus.

Bisping was set to go against Wanderlei Silva but due to recent facial surgery, Silva had to pass on the opportunity.

UFC 105 is scheduled to take place on November 14th in Manchester, England. The UFC always makes it a point to have Bisping headlining their UK cards as fans go wild for their hometown hero. Other British fighters rumored for this card are both winner’s from this season’s Ultimate Fighter, James Wilks and Ross Pearson. Surging welterweight Dan Hardy has also been rumored for this card.

Kang is a great striker and great on the ground all he has to do is not get caught in a technical points match and get his shots in were they count and take bisping down if he does need the points but in the end Kang should be able to pull it off if he keeps his cool!
