Fedor Conference Call Highlights
By Yael Grauer on Jul 29, 2009

Fedor Emelianenko, joined by M-1 Global President Vadim Finkelchtein, M-1 U.S.A. Vice President Jerry Millen and M-1 USA VP of Legal Affairs Steve Bash, addressed the media this afternoon at a press conference in California and conference call. Here are the highlights.
*The big news seems to be that Fedor, along with Mousasi and Babalu, will be featured in the new EA Sports videogame. Although Dana White has previously said anybody in this game would be banned from the UFC for life, Fedor stated that this won’t affect his UFC negotiations.
*When asked what will happen to the Affliction contract since Fedor has one fight left on that deal, Jerry Millen stated that they are exploring all options at this time legally with regard to Affliction and what they perceived took place. Milan further stated that while they are not prepared to disclose where they will go with this, that if something was done wrong somebody will be held responsible.
*Fedor reported that he is negotiating with a lot of companies, including Strikeforce, in addition to the UFC. Although the UFC has made him offers, Fedor and M-1 want a deal allowing co-promotions. M-1 continued to point out that it has helped promote MMA and build up its popularity, not just in the US but all over the world, and that Fedor is not going to just drop everything to go to the UFC.
*M-1 Global expressed that their ultimate desire is to spread the popularity of mixed martial arts around the world. Fedor said that he completely trusts his management team.
