Steroid Abuser Fight!
By Josh Stein on Jul 27, 2009
Well, now that the idea is in my head, I’m sort of liking the idea of Antonio Silva (12-1 MMA) taking on former UFC heavyweight champion and two time steroid abuser Josh Barnett (24-5 MMA, 4-1 UFC, #3 IWMMAR) .
Silva, who is fighting in Japan while serving a suspension, following a positive test for Boldenone, has suggested that he might like to fight Barnett in the Sengoku organization for a World Victory Road heavyweight title. Of course, Silva, intelligently, shut the hell up about the Barnett steroid bust.
Pezao has held three MMA heavyweight title, in Cage Rage, EliteXC and Cage warriors, but Barnett would be, far and away, the best fighter he’s ever fought. His one loss comes at the hands of King of the Cage superheavyweight champion Eric Pele (11-5 MMA) .
In case this is the first website you checked since emerging from underneath a rock, Josh Barnett was forced to withdraw from his bout with Fedor Emelianenko (30-1-0-1 MMA, #1 IWMMAR) , which eventually forced Affliction to cancel the enire Trilogy event and end their promotional activities. Frankly, this is a moment when Barnett should seriously get out of the United States, as he will probably be less than loved by the American fans who had been anticipating the fight, and going back to Sengoku to fight for a title is a good excuse to do that.
