Cantwell vs. Stann set for UFN 19
By Josh Stein on Jul 21, 2009
Brian Stann (6-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) will look for his first win in the Octagon as he steps in for a third time against Steve Cantwell (7-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC). The two met twice in the WEC, once in a three round bout that ended in 41 seconds as Stann demolished Cantwell, and the other in a title fight in which Cantwell got his revenge, taking out the former marine Stann at 4:01 in the second round.
The bout is scheduled for the undercard, but will hopefully end up on the main card, as these two fighters go to war whenever they step in the ring (despite not being the most technical of fighters).
Stann dropped his UFC debut to TUF alumni Krzysztof Soszynski (18-8-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC), tapping to a kimura that won Krzysztof his second submission of the night (and his second via kimura). Cantwell won his UFC debut, snapping the arm of Razak Al Hassan (7-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) in the first round, and Al Hassan hasn’t fought since (though he’s set to return at UFC 104). Cantwell lost his most recent bout against Luiz Arthur Cane (7-1-0-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) by Unanimous Decision.
The event will take place in Oklahoma City, and will feature a headlining fight between Nate Diaz (10-4 MMA, 5-2 UFC) and Melvin Guillard (22-7-2-1 MMA, 5-3 UFC).

I think this fight is worse than Henderson-Franklin II.
