“UFC Terms Are Not Acceptable” – Fedor
By Josh Stein on Jul 16, 2009
I ran into this bit from Bas Rutten’s interview with the number one heavyweight in the world. Fedor is an interesting, very sedate individual, so he’s not the easiest interview (and Bas does a good job, touching on the things that Rutten, as a fighter, knows people care about).
The comment on the UFC comes after the 2:10 mark. Fedor’s comments about legacy are interesting.

Things fans should simply let go.
Fedor vs. ((The current UFC HW Champ))
Fedor in the UFC ((to prove he is the best, he doesn’t care))
GSP* vs. Anderson Silva
I really think the MMA media needs to simply let it go. Brock for one has already stated that he doesn’t care that Frank Mir broke Tim Sylvia’s arm and he doesn’t care about Fedor. Who’s Fedor? He doesn’t concern himself with stuff that will not and can not happen. He doesn’t concern himself with what-ifs.
*GSP has consistently deflected that possibility.
However, Randy Couture has expressed interest in facing Lyoto Machida.
“Fedor and his management’s terms are not acceptable.” – Dana.
Now that is somewhat of a made up quote but those negotiations weren’t a one-way street.
