Ummm…. yeah… I mean first cover and Dana is on it. Just when I may start to ease up on the guy… he does this! And muscle cars, hot threads, great steaks? MMA magazine huh? I can imagine what it also includes, well I already have a subscription to Maxim so probably the same.
Print media is dying. Not sure if this will be a long term project since most magazines have been failing for the past several years, or have converted their content to a digital online only format.
I’m sure they will push these like crazy at the events, so they may be successful enough to keep it going for a little while. But yeah…Dana on the cover of the first issue…seriously?
This has to be one of the most narcissistic, self-indulgent things I’ve ever seen. I mean, with UFC 100 coming up they’re not going to put Lesnar and Mir or St. Pierre and Alves on the cover?
Use the magazine to push the fighters, not indulge your sense of self-importance.
If it was my mag I would put me on the cover too….lol
I think fighters should take note and find ways to market and promoted themselves. Especially fighters with winning records, building a name brand will really help their careers in the long run.
Outside of his record Tito Ortiz is a still a viable commodity.
With that said, Lesnar, St. Pierre, Alves and Mir would have been a good look for the first cover.
. . . just picked up the magazine. Decent design so far.
