Lee Murray Released

Street fighting (and, now, high crime) legend “Lightning” Lee Murray was released from prison in Morocco after a court confirmed his citizenship.
For those who don’t know the backstory, Lee Murray is alleged to have been an active participant in the £53 million raid of Securitas in 2006. It seems doubtful, now, that Lee Murray will be traded to British authorities for a terrorist wanted for questioning in Morocco.
While there are going to be a lot of discussions of a potential movie deal, it’s doubtful that Lee will ever fight in MMA again. He ended his career with a professional record of 8-2-1-1, his last fight being a unanimous decision loss to Anderson Silva in Brazil. His legend largely revolves around a bar fight he is supposed to have had with Tito Ortiz in which he, for lack of a better term, kicked the holy hell out of the then UFC champion (a story which has been confirmed by Pat Miletich and Matt Hughes, who are credited with breaking up the fight in many tellings).
It’ll be interesting to see where Murray goes from here, though I’d imagine that the U.K. is not on his list of destinations.

Well. Murray has the citizenship of Marco now… So, with the money he get with the movie..I’m pretty sure that he can buy a fucking visa in Marco. I mean COMON! look at what he is charged for.. and got out with what basically looks a slap on the hand for the robbery….
