While Kongo won I believe the groin shots affected Cro-Cop's performance.

I think Carwin appears to be more ripe for a title shot than Kongo right now, having desposed of a top contender in Gabriel Gonzaga in an exciting fashion. Too bad Carwin got a broken nose for his efforts against Gonzaga. He's undefeated, very marketable and has explosive KO power.

I didn't realize that Kongo is one of the busiest Heavyweights in the UFC. I'm not buying any argument for Kongo's ground game until we see how he performs off his back. The last marketable fighter he fought that has name value was Herring who losse horribly to Brock Lesnar.

I think the heavyweight division is fine. There are more than enough marketable and up & coming guys in the division.
Carwin, Velasquez, Gonzaga (now a dangerous, credible gate-keeper), Mir, Lesnar, Couture (2 fights left?), Cro-Cop(?), Herring (great performer), Big Nog, Junior Dos Santos, the eventual surprise signing not named Fedor and the surprise new, young prospect that will make their debut between July'09 - June'10.

Kongo is a major step up in competition for Cain. As the article states, part of Kongo's advantage is he knows how to use his height to stay away form punishment. I see Kongo stuffing take down attempts and using his stand up to take Cain out.

I do agree that Kongo doesn't present much threat to Lesnar as Kongo would be the smaller fighter; however, Kongo could have a shot at winner against Mir as long as he stayed off the his back.

I dont buy Kongo as a threat to Mir or Lesnar, IMO this fight with Velasquez is Cain's to lose or win and he will be the one to decide if he can keep humble and take Kongo down he should have little trouble controlling him while if he decides to try and be the hero and keep it standin then he is more than likely in for a beating and a short night.
