Hitler wants Dana to Sign Fedor
By Josh Stein on Mar 24, 2009
Tom Atencio posted this video earlier, so I thought I’d share it with the rest of you. Personally, I thought it was funny. As someone who’d rather see Fedor vs. Barnett, I’m get to say again that I disagree with Hitler.
I do miss Pride, though.
Video after the jump.

As a Jewish person, seeing Hitler’s face in a joke about MMA is incredibly offensive to me.
I don’t understand why Josh Stein doesn’t feel the same as me.
ryan doesn’t want his really dry and dead pan sense of humor to go unnoticed.
I don’t feel the same because I don’t think that Hitler, terrible individual that he was, has become exempt from use as a comedic device. I say that on the off chance that you were being serious.
If you weren’t, then you should remember that the sarcastic tone of voice doesn’t come across well on a keyboard. I can tell you that from experience.
Also, as a Jewish person and the descendant of Holocaust survivors (and some who didn’t survive the Holocaust), I should say that don’t think that the joke has anything to do with Jews.
I was 100% serious!
With people doubting the holocaust’s existence and anti-semitism running rampant, Hitler’s face brings nothing but horror to me, not comedy.
And Garrett, I was totally serious, so fuck you!
Well, if you don’t understand why I don’t feel the same way, the short answer is that the joke is not anti-semitic. If I were offended by things as subtle as the image as Hitler, or the use of his name, I’d have to expect that black leaders would get upset every time that Andrew Johnson or David Duke is mentioned. If I made a video saying “the Grand Wizard thinks that Fedor should go to the UFC,” I might get a few complaints, but I’d tell them the same thing.
I deal with anti-semitism on a pretty regular basis. It sucks, but it is certainly not expressed in videos mocking Hitler or Dana White.
If you want to get angry about anti-semitism, get mad about Rick Warren and Jimmy Swaggart (and their followers, who are the ones I generally deal with). An image is an image. Some images are powerful and move us, but there are bigger issues, and better things to be angry about.
“And Garrett, I was totally serious, so fuck you!”
anything else you would like to add? am i missing something here? was this supposed to get me angry? you fail once again sir.
Lol, that was hilarious! Oh, and btw, there’s gotta be something seriously wrong with someone who views Hitler as anything more than a historic figure in this context.
PS: +1 to “I miss Pride” theme
Not trying to get you angry…Think the fuck you said all it needed to say.
And I still don’t think Hitler or a Klan leader are symbols that need to be brought in the MMA world…That video could have been done with a Muppet and still could have been funny…Why Hitler
Uhmm . . . I didn’t watch the video.
I totally agree with Ryan. Why not Fozzie the Bear? Kermit?
Hated controversial historical figures removed from their time period and context are often used for a comedic effect. It’s been done time and time again. Osama bin Laden and the 9/11 tragedy has been used in many comic routines and rap songs months removed from the actual event. For a comedic effect, I just don’t see any valid connection between Hitler, Dana White, and Fedor Emelianenko.
Would anyone wear a t-shirt with Hitler’s face and the caption Hitler wants Dana to sign Fedor? If Tom Atencio did put this video together and posted it, then I guess it says a lot about him.
I don’t think Tom put the video together, judging by the youtube account. I think you have to watch the video to see why Tom would post it.
That said, I’d love to have a “Kermit wants Dana to Sign Fedor” t-shirt. (I’d wear it to an Affliction show, too, but probably have my press credential kicked) That’d make for a great video, but only if someone could do the voice and had a decent looking puppet.
seems like people on here are a bunch of babies.
Are you serious Ryan? Cut the guy some slack no one posted that video with the intention of disrepsecting anyone. In a time when people are fighting for their jobsand their lives we can use some comedic relief every once in awhile. I look at it as another example of someone showing just how atrocious Hitler was while adding some humor to it.
What I saw was an out of control power hungry man (Hitler) hell bent on getting what he wanted. I choose to look at it as an example of the human being being able to move on and get past the horrible events of the past. We can never bring back the millions of people who were killed and tortured but we can try and be better people and sometimes you get closer to others with comedy. In this case we are using a love of MMA and comedy to take us away from our problems for even just 2 minutes of our day. Then you come on here with your holier than thou attitude. I know Garrett and while he can cross the line every once in awhile he would never intentionally try and hurt someone’s feelings unless you attack him first.
Criticizing Josh for not being an angry Jewish man is awful. He has the right to reflect on what has happened any way he sees fit. Why should he harbor feelings that will only slow his growth as a man and a human being down. It takes so much more to hate than it does to let it go, try and remember that before you tell someone else to fuck themselves.
i consider fake ryan a troll…trolls are instigators.
