UFC 100: Name the possibilities!

By Curtis Clontz on Feb 16, 2009

UFC 100 is going to be the event of all events.  If nothing else it will provide the UFC their own stage to flex their  muscle.  They know they are the only MMA organization in the world that can not only hold this kind of event, but hold 100 events.  I recently read that the event will be headlined by a title fight between GSP and Thiago Alves.  This got me wondering what other fireworks the UFC could put on display.  Some of the things I came up with are simply for comedy, some could happen, and others will never happen…  After reading mine, let me know what you want to see at the historical UFC 100 event.

It is no secret that I am a Matt Hughes fan.  I want to see him and Serra finally go at it.  I want him to train outside of the H.I.T. Squad and come prepared.  Once the fight with Serra is over, I want to se the UFC induct him into the UFC Hall of Fame as the best 170 pound fighter in the 100 event history of the organization.

About the Hall of Fame, could it be time that the UFC finally opens the door for a Fedor vs. the champ fight?

I want to see Clay Guida and Jason “Mayhem” Miller have a fight at a catch weight, simply to see whose entrance is better.  While I like the piñatas, you can’t help but get hyped up with the way Guida enters.  On a more serious note, I would like to see a Guida vs. Sherk fight with the winner getting the loser of Penn Florian.

Other than dancing monkeys, dancing girls, and the Sobe dancing Iguanas I want to see something new.  I want the old school Pride announcer.  You know the one, the girl that screams at the top of her lungs with that ear piercing shriek!  Yea I can here it now…  And now… L L L L L L L L L L L L ooooooyyyyoooootooooooo  Machiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Is it too much to ask for the Dana White vs. Tito Ortiz boxing match that they promised us once upon a time?

A one time fight between Gina Carano and a top female MMA fighter, under the UFC banner, in front of the Vegas crowd.

I could go on and on about the things that could make the show the biggest ever.  Now I want to know what you want to see!  Your up, leave your comments below!!!

Matt Hughes is one of the greatest 170lbs. fighters but not the best in their 100 event history. I thought GSP proved that in their 3 matches. St. Pierre even had the best of Hughes until he got caught by the armbar. Just like Penn outclassed Hughes until he broke a rib and ran out of steam in his lost to Hughes. And remember, like Dana White said, Penn beat Hughes when it really meant something to beat Matt Hughes.

    UFC 100
    GSP – Thiago Alves
    Rashad Evans vs Jackson|Machida
    Mir vs Lesnar ??
