Late night musings.

I didn't see the entire event but for the most part this card was weak.
Henderson vs Franklin was not inspiring. Henderson definitely won but he didn't "beat" Rich Franklin. Henderson should be glad the fight wasn't 5 rounds. What was up with the 30-27 ruling in favor of Franklin?

Dennis Kang didn't get "caught" he got careless and Belcher took advantage.

Lytle-Davis?? If only Chris Lytle decided to add some technique to his stand up game. Mike Goldberg had the nerve to say that they're both two of best strikers of the 170lbs. division?? Lytle would be a superstar if he tightened up his game. Working on defending the takedown against pesky wrestlers and his piss-poor striking positioning. Being able to take a punch and dishing out bombs doesn't make a great striker. Marcus Davis looked O.K. in his performance, although I'm sure he's getting flack on the internet for avoiding Lytle's wild looping punches. Yeah he's was backpedaling but Chris kept following him, so why not bait.

I really don't care to watch Rua-Coleman's dance because I hear it was a really horrible performance by both competitors. Rua and Coleman got rewarded. I guess Dana and company wanted to throw Coleman a bone before they tell him to get lost, his career is probably over with the UFC. Rua gets Chuck Liddell. Stylistically it sounds like trouble for Liddell because he's fighting a crafty BJJ specialist and formidable Muay Thai fighter. That all depends on two questions. Will Rua have the cardio to compete in the 2nd round? And can an old dog like Chuck Liddell learn some new tricks?
