Shane Ott Update: Still Fighting!
By Brandt DeLorenzo on Dec 04, 2008
If you are looking for the old breaking news, you can still view the original article on Shane Ott’s motorcycle accident here. There are over 125 comments from Shane’s friends and family, but I want to highlight some great news from his daughter Alexis that she posted earlier this morning on the site.
I just wanted to let everyone know how much we all appreciate how many people showed up for the blood drive, it was amazing! I know everyone is concerned about how he is doing, so here is a little update. He is still in critical condition but is stable and getting stronger everyday! He has had MANY surgeries and has many more to go. My dad is responding to us and we are so grateful for that! He has fought so hard to get where he is and continues to fight everyday. Words can’t express how proud I am of him. We appreciate all of the posts on here and some of them really make me smile
Thank you to everyone for your concern and prayers it mean so much to our family.
Thanks for the update, Alexis!

Hi Alexis.. Thank you so much for the update. I am really glad to hear that your dad is responding and still fighting like he always has. Even though I do not get to call or write anyone very often does NOT in any way mean that I have forgotten about your Dad or anyone else in my family. I pray for us all every minute I can. I wish there was more that I could do for everyone. It was great seeing you at the blood drive and I am sure your Dad is proud of what a beautiful young lady you have become. Your brothers should be glad to have a big sister like you. Keep the updates coming and You , Your Dad, and all of the rest of the Ott Clan have my love ,respect , and support anytime you need it. Bless you all in these hard times and keep you all safe. Take Care, Your Cousin, Kris

I just saw this comment. It will be removed shortly.
Does anyone have a recent update on Shane’s progress? I haven’t heard anything in so long… how is he doing?
