Heads-Up: Matt Lindland Interview
By Josh Stein on Sep 02, 2008
So, I’ve been talking with Matt Lindland a lot today, and I’ll have an interview up over the course of the next couple of days.
For those of you who haven’t heard, Matt’s running for a House of Representatives seat in the state of Oregon (District 52), so I’m going to talk to him a little about his politics and about his upcoming fight with Trevor Prangley.
Lindland has a few big months ahead of him, and he’ll be heading to Georgia this weekend to corner Dan Henderson. He’s also going to corner Chael Sonnen in Sonnen’s upcoming WEC championship fight with Paulo Filho.
Honestly, he’s a great guy and has alot of interesting insight into the sport, so it’s going to be a great interview. It’s a little long, and so I’m going to split it into two parts for the sake of brevity. Part one will be on the upcoming fights, and part two will be on the politics. They should both be really good.

I will be looking forward to it! If you get a chance ask him his opinion on the voting process. If the electoral college picks our leader is it a true democracy, and what is the purpose of voting if they don’t have to go with our majority vote?
Off soap box…
Man, I wish you had thrown this out there last night, because it’s a good question. Honestly, though, I wanted to talk to him more about his positions, his campaign, that kind of stuff.
The interview was pretty candid, off the soap box, and I’ll say that he’s a regular guy with a life philosophy that dictates his politics and his fighting, so it’s definitely going to be a good read.
That is cool man. Good to hear
