Put on a card with big names and promote it, and you will see strong numbers. The U.K. events should always be tape delay on Spike. The UFC might not make as much, but they will end up with strong viewership and thus elevate the exciting winners. Spike needs to A) Pony up a little more money on occasion to have a bigger card and B) Increase the marketing and promotion of UFC events. Lately, they seem content to assume that UFC fans will always watch, when they need to be working on drawing new folks to watch the Spike cards. This should send a message to both Spike and the UFC. Put on a card with big names and promote it, and you will see strong numbers.
