Update: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is in Bad Shape

This comes from someone over at the MMA.tv Underground Forums who has worked with Jackson in the past.
Rampage has been staying at a friend’s house lately. I was supposed to have a meeting with this person today (yesterday but im up late). I happen to click on MMA Weekly, then TMZ and immediately call this person. The person rushes down to be with Rampage and see what is going on.. I talk to this person a couple of more times as I head north on the 55 and turn my head over to change lanes and there is a cop car right next to mine. I look over and guess who’s in the back of the cruiser?.. RAMPAGE looking right up at me, our doors lined up perfectly… Rampage looks right up into my eyes (Ive met him a couple times but he wouldn’t remember me)! It was just too crazy a coincidence as we were on our way out of town and assumed he was already in jail. (I guess they were transferring him to a different facility) the whole thing was surreal.
An a much more somber note I received follow up details and and rampage is in bad shape guys, and I don’t mean the criminal stuff. Real bad. Please pray for him. I hope he gets well soon..

sad to hear that. i guess losing a title can have that type of effect on someone. I remember when I lost the champion game for my intramural team and the day after the loss I felt depressed. It was a weird feeling and this was at such a small level, I can’t imagine how it would feel to lose a title especially to Griffin, who sucks btw and will get exposed in his title defense.
Hope Jackson gets better.
I hear you there. You hear about people doing crazy stuff after a traumatic event…like trying to commit suicide after losing their job or getting divorced.
Unless this poster on the Underground is a fellow fighter from the area or a trainer, I don’t know why anyone would take this person’s word for how Jackson is doing. The quote posted above sounds kind of sketchy: “my friend who knew someone who talked to him” kind of thing. Totally unreliable without corroboration. The poster just happened to pull up next to Jackson sitting in the back seat of a cop car? I call BS. The people who know Jackson firsthand probably won’t be dissing him (or discussing him at all) on the Underground—especially if he is in bad shape.
