I had the pleasure of rolling with Matt at his first ever BJJ class. In a short period of time it became obvious that Matt was destined for super stardom. with a wrestling background Matt picked up BJJ in just a few months and rose to the Blue Belt level.
A great deal of credit should be given to his first BJJ and MMA instructor Jay Russell of Mechcanicville, NY. Jay has the nack of turning out champions in just a short time. Myself I travel 1 1/2 hours to attend Jay's classes for the past 6 years. At 63 years old and fully disabled, Jay has deveopled a grappling style for me, that enabled me to compete competively at the world championships.
Any wishing to visit Jay at his Gym can reach him at 518 899-1050
