Please don't give him any more attention. Boxing vs MMA is really an irrelevant argument, and Lampley plays it not because he's completely ignorant, but because he fears the market share loss of his sport, boxing, and has feared HBO getting into bed w/ MMA for years. Truthfully, boxing and MMA aren't in competition, so Lampley should relax. Both put up huge PPV years financially in 2006. Boxing scours to the over 35 and Latino/Mexican populations, where MMA scours under 35 and prominently whiter audience. Sadly, Lampley is one of the greatest boxing announcers of all time, and if he didn't feel threatened, should have learned more about MMA years ago.
