I can admit that I’m not overly fond of Sherdog these days, but it has nothing to do with their ability to capture MMA news and photography. But, let’s not get into MMA podcasts and forums filled with trolls as MMA most well known site has apparently more problems to worry about.
After former editor Josh Gross moved to Sports Illustrated earlier this year, Sherdog hired The Oregonian staff writer Brad McCray to take over on the site as executive editor. Loretta was also named news editor around the same time. Five weeks later and McCray is no longer around and there’s nothing bad to heard about Hunt. So what happened?
Site owner Jeff Sherwood had a chance to answer that question, but quickly refuted a caller on his own radio show by saying “why do you care?” when asked about McCray’s whereabouts.
Where is Brad McCray? The rumors, as usual, are endless. Was McCray fired because Sherwood wanted to save a few bucks by sharing the duties with Hunt? Was McCray removed due to lack of MMA knowledge? Or is McCray simply taking a break from work to spend time with his family?
Either way, some readers are not happy to hear that the father of three may already be jobless.
